I’m Jennifer Thoburn, an award-winning photographer, videographer and content creator based on the Lancashire and Yorkshire border, working with clients across Lancashire, Yorkshire, Manchester, the North West and throughout the UK. I specialise in wedding photography, commercial photography, branding photography, product photography, family photography and professional videography, creating natural, creative and high-quality imagery for both businesses and individuals.
From weddings and family portraits to brand campaigns, social media content and commercial product shoots, I deliver relaxed, story-led photography and cinematic video that captures real moments and meaningful detail. ABOUT JENNIFER
With over 15 years of industry experience, I am an award-winning photographer, videographer and content creator based on the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire, specialising in wedding photography, commercial photography and creative visual storytelling. My background as a photographer and Art Director allows me to approach every project with a strong creative vision, combining technical expertise with a refined, editorial style.
I work with clients across Lancashire, Yorkshire, Manchester and the North West, including Skipton, Burnley, Clitheroe, Colne, Barrowford, Barnoldswick, Ilkley, Leeds and surrounding areas. A large part of my work is wedding photography across Lancashire and Yorkshire, capturing natural, relaxed and storytelling wedding days at beautiful venues throughout the region and beyond. I also work with couples travelling across the UK who are looking for timeless, authentic wedding photography that reflects their day honestly and creatively.
Alongside weddings, I produce commercial photography, branding photography, product photography, fashion photography, interior and property photography, and professional videography for businesses, brands and agencies. Much of this work takes place across Lancashire, Yorkshire and Manchester, both on location and from my fully equipped photography studio at Higherford Mill in Higherford, Lancashire.
My studio is less than an hour from Leeds and Manchester, making it ideal for commercial shoots, branding sessions, product photography, headshots, family portraits and creative content production. Whether I’m photographing a wedding in Yorkshire or producing a commercial campaign in Lancashire, my approach is always relaxed, collaborative and focused on creating authentic, high-quality imagery that tells a story.

THE STUDIO

VIDEOGRAPHY
I film and edit dynamic videos for creative businesses to showcase their products, gif animations, work services, behind the scenes of their day to day, property tours and fashion/beauty stories.
Video content is becoming so much more important in todays social media world, while a photo can help in getting the attention of your followers/clients, a video is the perfect tool to capture their attention and keep them engaged.
A full day of wedding photography starting in the morning preparations,through to the
ceremony, afterwards the bride and groom and group shots and then the reception, until after your first dance.
The final images will then be made available to share on social media, purchase prints if you so wish and you will be able to download the photos to keep forever.

I love capturing a raw un-rehearsed moment, my portrait photography style is very natural and free, capturing true emotion and expression between your loved ones.
Children and families grow and change so quickly, it is my pleasure to document those small and treasured parts of my client's lives and enabling them to keep those precious memories forever.
CREATIVE DIRECTION
As well as photography I can develop a creative story and brief to bring a subject to life. Working from initial concept through to the photoshoot and the finished artwork.
Art Direction is the design behind an image, producing the set design, hair & makeup brief, styling inspiration and main concept, working together with each client to produce a strong brand aesthetic to meet their creative needs.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Showcase yourself as a model for your portfolio, or garments & products with beautiful lighting and stunning backdrops. Each image is professionally retouched,
presenting the product to the highest standard.
Photographing the front, back and close in details provides your customers with a library of images that clearly displays your product for online purchase. Images can be produced on a mannequin, a flat lay or on a model.

DESIGN
As well as creating beautiful images, I also produce and design bespoke artwork pieces for businesses, brands and weddings to name a few.
Projects can include anything from business cards to catalogues, brochures, flyers and leaflets and wedding stationary plus logos and website design.

From shooting locations in brochures and magazines to homes for sale, I can create a tranquil and calm photographic style using natural and fresh lighting and creative composition.
Every brief is different, so I take a personal approach to each project, adapting for the clients needs and ambitions, creating a bespoke collection of timeless images.

ANIMATED
GIFS
A dynamic way to show off your products or subject in a creative stop motion style sequence. Styled interiors or products can be demonstrated in a build up of accessories, furniture and props, providing your customer with a 'How To' feature, or stories can be told in a fun moving object animation.
These videos are made simply by taking a series of images from the same position and stitching the photos together.
BRIDAL
PHOTOGRAPHY
As well as weddings I photograph the latest bridal fashions for boutique bridal salons. Working in the studio with beautiful backdrops or on location at glorious venues with beautiful lighting, each image is professionally retouched, presenting the product to the highest standard.

EQUINE & CANINE
PHOTOGRAPHY
The natural beauty and strength of a horse is very rewarding subject to capture. Even more so is the connection and bond between the horse and rider.
Being a horse lover myself since I was very young provides me with beneficial knowledge of the equine disciplines, aiding me in capturing your horse at their best and giving you a token of pride you can keep for a lifetime.

Documenting beautiful environments and locations is a passion of mine, using the freedom of natural daylight and creative framing, providing a refreshing style of photography for me and the client.

ILLUSTRATIONS
Choose a baby animal or character to sit next to or with your child on their next or previous photoshoot session. Perfect for children's bedrooms and nurseries. Each drawing is an extra £20 on top of your photography package.
The artist lives locally in Earby and can also take specific requests starting from £60 to add that extra special magic to your photo session.
